Finkl Steel Announces Price Increase

By | News, PR Announcement

Chicago, IL, November 24, 2017 – Finkl Steel, a subsidiary of the SCHMOLZ + BICKENBACH Group, will increase prices by $0.05 / lb USD for all orders to be shipped on or after February 1, 2018. This price increase will be effective for all products shipped from all Finkl Steel production facilities.

Finkl Steel has experienced a sharp cost increase for melt shop consumables over the last several months. “Unfortunately we can no longer absorb the significant cost increases for melt shop consumables, particularly graphite electrodes and refractories, that allow us to manufacture our quality steel products,” said Art Smoljan, Vice President, Sales & Marketing. “Finkl Steel has been assured of supply of these critical materials, but at a much higher cost. We are announcing a price increase now to give our valued customers the time needed to make necessary adjustments in their supply chains.”
